It's definitely not CMaj7, Bm7
I've been messing around with this jam a little and the closest I'm finding is Am, Gmaj7/B . Theres sliding ups into the chords sometimes on bobs part I guess and maybe some toggling Am Am7 . It's like really hard to make a Gmaj7/B but regular Gmaj7 doesn't sound right. Theres a part Jerry does where he goes back and forth beteen an A note and E note on the chord change with a little climb EFF# to A and so back down, like a B blues scale, so that's gotta point to something. Phill composed this song working with Hunter, so like it sounds like a 2 chord progression the whole time but I'm not surprised it's confusing especially with Garcia melting your face off over the top of it.
I don't know if this is all right so lmk if anyone has comments cuz clementine is one of my favorite jams to listen to nowadays
