I'd have to say there's more than a passing resemblance to my 2004 Resurrection Bolt as far as the hardware is concerned. I designed the pickup surround after a Featured Custom I'd seen on the Alembic Club. The bridge was the first Alembic they had ever put on one of their guitars. Guess now there's two. Beautiful instrument. 8)

Edit: the switches for splitting the three PUs ?
Thanks aiq. I have a push/pull tone knob to activate the OBEL. Push/pull volume knob to activate the bridge pickup at any time, allowing for any pickup combination. The three switches are individual coil taps.

That's beautiful. Cocobolo and maple, ebony fingerboard? Nice work. You were paying attention in class ;-)

I think we must have been following the same Alembic "Furthur" build thread and then I saw your pics on the Resurrection site and was like Yea that's really nice! Funny, that you have the Bear Claw inlay and I have Bear at the 24th fret as this was my dad's nickname for me way before I was into the GD! Right on brother! By the way, guitar got new Stainless frets, Brass Nut and battery cover recessed. The sad thing is that when I received the guitar, the neck binding was sawed through to install the frets. Kinda negates the reason for the binding..... New setup rings like a bell. Work performed by Dan at The Fret Works in Chicago. Also did a nice job touching up some small and large finish dings! Guitar ordered from Tim at Res. in June 2004. Rec'd August 2006!

Peace

Thanks, Mike! I'm really enjoying it.

I made a few short clips of me playing along with this very cool Not Fade Away (jam) backing track I found.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R09r5cNd3hw.

I'm not sure why, but soundcloud seems to lower the volume or something. So, ya have to crank it thru a good stereo or use headphones to hear it well.

1968 Twin Reverb blackfaced, Jerry mods and Maestro mods > Mc2100 (no sentry monitor). Recorded the room with a Tascam DR-05.

That's a nice guitar you have there 8) I haven't been on the board for a while and was pleasantly surprised to find these clips. I kind of took a leap of faith by building these guitars as a set neck. I was shooting for a chassis that I could approach the wolf tone and tiger's tone, depending on the wood choices and electronics. Still don't have a proper Jerry rig to play mine through, so its really cool to hear a player as good as you get that thing going.
