Ya, I've got a show or two that has "On my own..." being a launch of a wider jam. It did, in the songs defense, start off with that A D A, then noodled to an E then an A jam. But not at all structured as ebick properly compared to "Samson".
probably the most political song the Dead did and i might add very acurate (forgive my spelling (public skewl)) I loved it when they played this tune.... a real crowd pleaser....

Personally I don't. I know tons of conservatives who aren't Bush-backers. I am a Libertarian and most Libs who I know were once Reps who became disinterested with the party as they lost their core conservative values.
Long story short, today republicans are not conservatives.

This is very apolitical. It basically says both sides are wrong. And remember this was the 80s Regan, Barlow knew and at one time supported Karl Rove but thought he was going too far in the cold war against Russia/communism:

Comisars = communisists
Pin-stripe bosses = republicans
National:
Money green = capitalists (reps)
Proletariat grey = socialists (dems)
However, the worst part is that is more true now than ever with both parties being wrong in the 80s and since they've each moved further and further in their respective left or right direction.

I am very upset by the polarization of this countries 2 party system. I am very upset its a 2 party system when its design was not a 2 pary system but a representative republic where elected officials represented the people NOT THEIR PARTY (not yelling at anyone here just hoping maybe someone in office hears that
).
Out of the many people I know (really I have a couple friends) most of them are "in the middle" wishing they could 'a la carte' from the different sides.
But what do they do in response, go further in each, opposite direction.
Very frustrating. It's also frustrating to me when people make the association of lib=dem or cons=rep. As I see it, these 2 parties are moving too far away from either their lib or cons base and moving towards socialism and fascism.
Sorry to rant, it just really upsets me. Most of us are centrists and there aren't many leaders out there going for the center. You can be a capitalist but compassionate and human. You can look to make socialist programs to help the young, the elderly and the incapable without being a socialist country.
