That's Jerry playing a lick that's resolving it back into the next part of the suite.

It's not Garcia playin that, it's Weir...


Slightly different each time but he consistently starts it with a grab on the B string...

Rapid triplet pull off from 15, 14, 12 (x3)

Then whole step bend at 15(17)

He descends it from there with a variation...

Here's a great video of them from 72'... Right at that point of the lick the camera doesn't show it but he comically let's it fall apart...

Watch at the 16:16 mark. I hear and see Weir doing a similar but subtle riff. This looks like:
G ---9-8-6----9-8-6----9-8-6-------11^12---------

I still think that guitar tone and style in the first video sounds like Garcia but I won't argue that point
