One of the first songs i learned after FOTD and Sugar Mags was the 60's album cut of 'Minglewood.
Played it everyday after school with our group.
'Love that crazy Loins Den stuff... the tempo, the intro riff, the blatant wild strum(s), so cool.
fwiw, i've never been able to buy into the newer version... for lack of a better term, too "industrial" for my taste.
Right up there with LRR, Walkin' Blues, etc, for me.
It's all good, though!

has anyone here heard anything by Noah Lewis? (minglewood, viola, etc)

theres an album here that supposedly has everything he recorded: http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Recorded ... 96&sr=1-10

I'm not home now, but I think once I get back I'm gonna drop a few bucks to hear the originals. wouldnt be opposed to sharing with any of you after that (this guys dead anyway, and fuck his record label im sure they ripped him off :x )

and i think the song definitely improved with time. that first album version doesnt come close to some late 70's early 80's ragers.

Gotta love the one from MSG 79 where Brent takes a "guitar" (synth) solo.
