does anybody have any idea what weir is doing here? ive been messing around with stuff like this for getting back to the e and e7's during the song. am i even remotely on the right track here?

I think you are on the right page for starting. Bobby goes way out there sometimes. The E to the E7 is critical. From there I start to add in notes to modulate the chord, work in some diminished, etc.

for the Bob part over Jerry's main theme licks i play a Bm - E7. strike em hard like in the later 80's versions. you can hear it as far back as reckoning too.
