ES-335 with flat wound strings into fender amplification right?
I've really been digging his playin' and tone in that era lately (see 3 from the vault)

ES-335 with introduction of the Wall in fall 73... before that he used SG, Les Paul Custom, Les Paul Special, Guild (can't remember the designation but basically their variation on the ES style) and ES-345 ... mostly the 345 though.

But, flatwound strings yes? he kills it on the studio C Jones absolutely runs away with that tune. I ask because I'm thinking of biten'g that sound for a solo project I'm working on.
