Private site started by folks when Zephyr got the letter from Rhino:

"PM me for info"

You have to register and have an admin activate your account before you can access the goods.

Koch has good some links over at LSP, as frankiee said: http://lostsailorpub.forumup.it

Torrents here:

I'm still not sure why it (speedingarrow) was shut down to begin with. They were asked to take down the music files and they complied, so what gives? Is Rhino really that big of a prick? I woulda told them to shove their Cease & desist up their cornhole, But that's just me. I have no respect for Rhino anymore. Their customer service has all been outsourced and it sucks now. I will do whatever it takes from now on just to not have to do any business directly with them whatsoever. I use to harp on people all the time for stealing/sharing official GD downloads....I no longer care.

i would never rip anything that was an officially released product. i don't believe they have anything of that nature archived, but they do however have just about everything else.

Maybe a year or so ago, there was a membership drive going on, admins put up an announcement on lossless legs. I asked if it was ok to post here and got the green light. I was told that BCE was no longer a secret site, but a private one. Many members have been recruited from here since. I think germain actually joined this site so he could check out people seeking membership from here...

I dunno - I registered at BCE and did not get accepted. No response whatsoever - kinda thought it was weird having read on this forum that they accepted rukind folks.

I am kinda hoping it isn't just me

no, its ftp. some of it was available for straight dl in mp3 format.

where are you getting confused with torrent downloading?

do you have u-torrent? http://www.utorrent.com/

you need this tiny program to dl the torrents.

then go to somewhere like piratebay http://thepiratebay.org/search/grateful%20dead/0/99/100

and the shows are listed one after another. they look like a list of links. click on one you like and the next page will have the torrent. the actual torrent looks like a link also but says "download this torrent". all you do is click this and the rest is taken care of.

just create a folder with an appropriate name for the show(s). you can grab whole years, tours etc all at once. I have every known sb for '74, '77 and '78. at one time i had all of '89 and deleted it so i could fit '78 on my hard drive - '78 is great but what a mistake that was losing '89. looking around pirate bay i see that all those huge 6-12gig torrents are still available.

good luck - have fun - avoid dl'ing official releases - bad karma 8)
