hello all. my name is jason. i live in canton, ohio.

i am a computer musician. i made music with computers in a very toyish manner for about 10 years. i have been taking it rather seriously for the past 4 years and i have released several cds:

the nature of my (non) music is ambient, electro-acoustic or concrete. experimental is a word that gets used a lot but it doesn't give much of a description. i recently decided that i should have a bit of formal music training in hopes that it could answer some of my many questions and clear some of the ambiguous waters i have been wading through. because of that i started taking violin lessons. i have been doing so for about a year now and i am enjoying very much.

i am very much interested in the music and culture surrounding the grateful dead. this is greatly due to experiences i had as a child. when i was about 15 or 16 bear creek family campground, which was a bike ride from my house, hosted numerous festivals. one night i wandered over that way and snuck in through a trail to see what was going. little did i know that i was walking right into Jerry Fest which i believe occurred annually to commemorate Jerry's birthday. i doubt that i need to tell you that my childish mind was blown but this amazing world that i discovered. i have never been in such awe in my life. i should note that due to stories told by my mother i had been obsessed with the culture of the 60s since i was very, very young. when i was around 12 or 13 there was no one greater to me than mr. morrison. at that time i was under the impression that the time i was looking for was long gone and forgotten. i was never happier to be wrong than the night i wandered into Jerry Fest. my life was changed.
