Hey all. Just wanted some opinions on these speakers. We need a set to run vocals, and some other low mixes thru. Here are the 2 links below.

The only problem is that the JBL's are the lowest line of speaker cabs they make. They aren't made with birch also.

The Madison's are comparable speakers to the jbl's in question, plus the cabs are made out of baltic birch. I just dont know

Can you hear either of these brands before you buy?

I've never heard of the Madison brand before today.

I like Dozin's Carvin suggestion. They are known for quality gear. Plus you could return them.

I decided on the Madisons. We have run a couple 15" wedge monitors form them already. Nice sound. Its clear with no breakup at reasonable levels. The cabinets were built better, so down the road if we upgrade the speakers, we'll have great cabinets in place.

Our ultimate goal is to run (2) dual 15" with horns, and (2) 18" subs.

We would run everything thru the mix to keep stage volume at a minimum. Probably will need to run 2 monitors for front, and 1 for the drummers.

When there is 6 people in the band, getting the sound refined is a science. Which noone in the band really has a clue about, especially me!!!!
