Nicholas, NYC, longtime Deadhead (saw 13 shows of the original band), have done different music stuff but only this year started playing guitar seriously, and starting to get into playing Dead tunes right away. Have my copy of "How Does The Song Go," watching Davvy videos, taking some lessons focused specifically on the Dead catalog. This site has been great!
Playing a Yahama SG800s (humbuckers with split coil options, early 80s doublecut) and sometimes an Ibanez Artstar (semihollow with bright humbuckers) through a Princeton Stereo Chorus (steal for $100, has two bright 10s and nice Fendery tone), planning to experiment with a SMS preamp run into the fx return.
