Hello friends,

Cubensis Drummer and singer Steve Harris was recently diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. We in the LA jam band community are all a bit shaken up by this reality. The prognosis is not hopeless though, and Steve remains in good spirits, but the burden of going through cancer treatment is not an easy one. As I have stated, I work with the band on the crew and also fill in for Nate LaPointe as "Bobby" when he is out of town. I wanted to bring this to everyone's attention, knowing that there is a sort of fraternity of GD tribute artists. There will be a benefit concert held at the Golden Sails in Long Beach on July 5th in order to help raise money for Steve's medical expenses. There are other online contribution mediums springing up as well and I will try to provide a link in subsequent posts. Please keep him in your thoughts and if you live anywhere nearby, feel free to come out on the 5th.

Thank You,

Sorry to hear about this. I'am sure with the positive vibes from his friends and fans, and with the advanced medical treatments we have today he will have a speedy recovery. Best wishes to him, Paul
