I hear Jerry using dirt, delay, and Mutron all the time of course. Some kind of leslieish thing on Candyman. I know he had a Phaser, but what songs didst he play it on?
When Garcia first started using the MXR Phase 100 and the two Mu-Tron's they popped up all over the place. As tine went on he started to get "song specific" with his effects. The Phase 100.would pop in the intro and solo in Candyman, he used through most of Built to Last and there are a few others that are escaping me at the moment. He did use the Phase 100 in the JGB on Sugaree (especially in 1980) and all of Waiting for a Miracle. There are other JGB tunes as well. He had the expression pedal mod done to the effect so the speed could be controlled remotely (something I need to do). There are other tunes that he used it on but I just can't remember them right now. In the late 1970's the Phase and Mu-III and Octave Divider could show up anywhere. This is really bugging me; I usually do not have brain farts like this. But the speed control via expression pedal is a great mod and has a profound effect on the functionality of the Phase 100. Very useful.
