Me too. This one's too good to pass up. There will be downloads available if you don't get the box.

St. Paul is a better Scarlet > Fire than Cornell, and St. Louis might be the all-time best Dancing In The Streets.

I bit & bought...

Now that is a bold statement TS. Bold indeed...
Not familiar with these shows, and I can't wait to find out if what you claim has merit.

Thanks for the insight.
Peace

Why they don't have New Haven, Boston, Cornell and Buffalo are beyond me. Best shows of May. Makes no sense.

Lemieux's new interview in Relix specifically states certain shows that people clamor for, but they just aren't in the vault. Interesting read

also, why would you want shows released that already have great sounding sbds circulating? the fact that the master doesnt exist means we can stream it forever.

Ahhh '81. My first 10 or so shows.

Wish I had been cool enough to:
A) Know what was going on.
B) Know where I was, as I frequently did not.
C) Could've stopped wondering to myself if they were ever going to play a song I'd heard on "What a Long Strange Trip..." or Skeletons.
D) Stop being paranoid about money, food, shelter, etc. Those things were being handled by my NYC roommate. A more worldly fellow than my Upstate self.
F) Share that stir-fry-vegable sandwich with the chick who offered.

It took me a few to get the mechanism of the whole thing. 1981. A very good year!

T.S. - After the shine is off the '77 box set, I shall invest some ear time. Spring? Summer? Fall?

Peace
M

I think it's very reasonable that GD won't formally release shows for which they don't have masters, so therefore no Cornell. I think it was very cool that Lemieux said they won't pay someone else for their own tapes. Hopefully whoever has them (Cornell or others) will do the right thing and return them back to the Dead.
