I've been knocked out by the clips I've seen of this band. I'm wondering, Marc, do you chart this all out? I'd be curious to see some of the bass charts!

Yea, everything is written out, our poor bass player. Phil parts are crazy but our guy Paul nails it. Been trying to get some of these charts to Phil but no luck. I think he'd at least get a kick out of seeing. Also, looking to publish all of these in a book soon. I think at least a Phil book would be pretty cool.

Hoping to announce some new dates soon. Paramount Theater Asbury Park, Bearsville theater in Woodstock, return to Berklee Boston, Infinity Hall CT, Sellersville PA and the next big show debut Halloween back at Count Basie Theater in Red Bank. Maybe some cool summer gigs up VT way and beyond. Check FB for regular updates if you'd like. thanks

Hey, Donna in my icon pic. So cool to be able to play with her once. I was 13 when I saw the Dead at Nassau colliseum in 73 and she was there singing Eyes Of The World. Then, all these years later there I was standing next to her singing the same song. Sometimes I get lucky! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TjkGENMe29w with Steve Kimock and his killer band.

Rehearsal today. 2 new songs, St. Stephen studio version, as heard on the record. Fun fact: The crazy jam before the final verse, Bob and Jerry are playing to a slow 4/4 count, whereas the drums and Phil are playing to a fast 3/4 time! Can't wait to play this live. The other song is Brown Eyed Women, a nice Keith and Phil feature song. Beautiful parts played, note for note by our guys John Pittas on piano and organ and Paul Avrutin on Bass.

Bearsville Theater this Saturday 4/13 in Woodstock NY. Newton Theater in Newton NJ the following Saturday 4/20. New shows added are Stone Pony Asbury Park NJ 5/18, celebrating the grand post-Sandy reopening of the Asbury boardwalk. 6/29 debuting "The Jerry Show" with Garcia solo stuff and Dead favs at the Mauch Chunk Opera House in Jim Thorpe PA. http://mauchchunkoperahouse.com/?page_id=3313

Back at the ultra hip Infinity Hall in CT 9/6 and good old Sellersville PA 9/21.

Just finished transcribing all instruments for Count Basie Halloween show, 2nd set kick off song Help On The Way, Slipknot into Franklin's Tower. Crazy crazy parts! This show will be double drumming era, 60's and Blues For Allah and beyond.

Off to Woodstock this weekend. Thanks to Brett and Jimmy at WDST Radio Woodstock for all the support. Cool news for our Stone Pony show 5/18. We'll have special guest emcee, legendary tour manager to the Stones and the Dead, Sam Cutler. Sam can be heard introducing the Stones on Gimme Shelter, Get Yer Ya Yas out. He was also tour manager of the Europe 72 tour, which our pony show will be based in. He'll be doing meet and greets and speaking before we launch the 72 set. Nice!

Showing Phil a little love covering Pride of Cucamonga at last year's Count Basie show. It took 10 people onstage to get it done but here it is, note for note, all instruments and vocals as released on Mars Hotel. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=171322679703424

I see my avatar us Keith. Big kudos to our piano player John Pittas for nailing this nice Keith track! Hope to see some folks at Mauch Chunk Opera House in Jim Thorpe PA tomorrow night.
