Or the iPad could be used to run his in ear monitors. I would be curious to find out what he's got going on. I'm not surprised Phil has moved on from the Eden cabs. Those horns do get pretty annoying after awhile.Phil Lesh101 wrote:I saw them last night and noticed (also can be seen in the picture) That Phil is no longer using Eden amps but he is running his rig through the Ipad on top of his rack into the Powered Meyers sound speakers and it sounds great!
He's gone high tech! with Phil and Friends he used to go on the Talkback mic and say things like "slow it down" or "Modulate to G" and the band would follow. Now he tweets what he wants them to do instead.strumminsix wrote:Tweeting during the jams. Phil is sooo cool like that
The show me and Phillesh101 saw at CMAC he sounded exellent. we both walked right up to the stage and took pics of all their stuff and we both noticed phils equipment wasent mic'd so we knew somthing was fishy lol.then we saw his amp was missing and it was replaced with an ipad/ laptop. but either way whatever he is useing it sounds great. but i dont think it mixes his in ear monitor because he kept motioning up and down to the sound dude on his left.Stone wrote:Interesting stuff, Id say more then likely hes getting his pre-amp sounds via the puter rather then messing with his monitor mix. No mics on the Meyers says hes direct. How did it sound ?
