I was scrolling through the boston herald's website and this pic of jerry caught my eye. Turned out they are looking for the greatest guitar solo so natural I scrolled down to the comments looking for Jerry and no one had him. Took me awhile to think of my absolute favorite Jerry solo, but I think it's got to be "Morning Dew" for me.

with Jerry there are just far too many. But heres a few off the top of my head:

(These are more or less traditional guitar "solos" - not spacey or long ensemble jams)

Simple Twist of Fate - Theater 1839 (2nd solo, pure jerry release)
Hard to Handle - 8/6/71
I Know You Rider - 3/9/81
Eyes of the World - 11/11/73 (1st solo)
Peggy-O - 5/3/77
Comes A Time - 5/9/77 (end solo)
Scarlet Begonias - 5/21/77 (Dicks Picks 29)

I could keep going but I'll stop with those examples

It is seeing videos like this that remind me how awesome Prince really is at playing guitar. I would love to see/hear him do a bunch of Hendrix covers, I bet he would kill it.
