Does anyone know what kind of wiring scheme is in Bob's sunburst strat made by Rich Hoeg? Is it similar to the cowboy? I knows theres just one tone along with the volume, and three toggle switches for 3 single coils. Are the switches just simple on/off toggles, and is the mid pup wired out of phase? I had also heard awhile back that the pups he's got installed are Lindy Fralin's. Is this true? Anyone have any details on this guitar? I have a sunburst strat with custom shop 69's in it, and am getting some ideas.

Shoot Rich and email i'm sure he'd be happy to answer any questions you have. He got back to me quickly when i had a question about a guitar.

I had that about it, but was kind of hesitant to do so. I DID, however, just send him an email! I'll keep you guys posted.

I know that Hoeg is a fan of Fralin pickups but those don't look like the split blades.

Would be interested where the mid boost is, MK. With 3 pickups, 3 toggles, 1 volume 1 tone I'm not seeing where so curious!

The Strat has Lindy Farlin vintage hots in it http://www.fralinpickups.com/stratstyleVH.asp
and a Suhr system for noise http://www.suhrguitars.com/pickups.aspx#bpssc

There's no boost or SPC or anything like that in the guitar

Your typical Weir pickup switching, tone and volume

Thanks for the reply Dozin! I have a sunburst Strat with Custom Shop 69's in it, and am tempted to mod it like Bobby's Hoeg Strat. The three toggles then are for in phase/off/out of phase or just on/off? Also, because the mid pickup of the Vintage Hot Fralin's are reverse wound, couldn't I just flip my middle 69 pickup around to achieve the same outcome, while keeping it's tone?

The Suhr requries all 3 pickups to be regular would so I'd guess all 3 of Bobby's are regular.

As they are regular single coils I'd also guess that they'd be simple on/off

My basic understanding on Bobby's preferences: master volume, master tone, individual on/off by pickup
