I know this may be a little out there,but i'm trying to find out if others have the same problem.I have been working on wooden ships by crosby stills and nash.I have the verse chords worked out but am having a hell of a time figureing out what the chords in the chorus are.Specifically the chords over the lyrics go take your sister than by the hand.
Any help would be appreciated
Thanx in advance.

Love this tune. Excellent version when I saw them at Jones Beach this summer. I'll see what I can do unless someone beats me to it.

I'm pretty sure it's

Em```````````````````````````G```A``D
Go, take your sister then by the hand
Em``````````````````````````G```A``D
Lead her away from this foreign land
Em```````````````````````````G`````A``D
Far away, where we might laugh again
``````````C`````````````````Em
We are leaving, you don't need us
I think eb's right. I've seen some other ideas but I'll have to give a listen.
Interesting. Mind sharing the parts you have, hlblyhipy?
I'm pretty sure that on Wooden Ships, they play it with the low E tuned to D, at least that's the way I play it and it sounds closer. I play the chords like this:
Em G
E|----------3--
B|----------3--
G|----------4--
D|--2----------
A|--2----------
D|--2-------5--
The Am and D are played the same as in standard tuning.
Well the opening I play D A G E
And during the verse the voicings I use are
E 0 10 12 12 0 0
AM x 0 10 12 12 0
F/A x 0 10 10 10 10
I’m not sure about the names of the chords
Hope that helps and thanx for all the help
