Concerning the final selling price... A respected buy/sell/trader from another forum I frequent had a pair of these same speakers selling for $150 (without a Cab, without shipping), so I was using his value to value the speakers. During the "negotiations" it was revealed that the seller had gotten this unit from his brother for free when his brother moved to LA (also that his Bro OK'd his desire to sell this unit for cash since he is not a guitar player and the cab was not being used). So that info affected my opening offer price... within like one minute it went... Me: How 'bout $200?, Him: How 'Bout $250?, Me: How 'bout $225, Him: Sold!.
I love a good Win/Win Buy-Sell-Trade deal!

It sounded killer during the basic test-fire with my Jerry Head rig... Alembic F2B>Lexicon LXP-1 Reverb>300W SS Power Amp (One side of my Stereo Steel head).
I'll be playing around with it today, giving it the MuTron III and Mutron Octave Divider test, etc...
I haven't measured the dimensions yet, but it's a cool little Jerry-esqu 2x12 cab!
I'll have to figure out if I want to put a grill on it and/or how to transport it (no handles).

Glad I could return the CL-spotting favor, Pete! No idear how they'll be with ECF and various effects, but- for the era from when they were used - I'd be giving them the Dimed-BF Fender "Viola/Caution/Other One/Lovelight/Death Don't/Stephen/Feedback" Primal Death/Rebirth/Cosmic Explosion Test(with hearing protection of course)

Yeah Man!
Steel players rave about 'em, too, for remarkable Clean tone.
fwiw, I dimed my F2B and slowly brought the SS power up... nice!
I am already enjoying just having this cab in my home, and believe it/they will be great for all applications i could possibly throw out there (7 string electric, Pedal Steel, etc...).

hey now great news if anyone thinks this should be a new post just say. that being said I had a meeting today about the speaker clips talked about earlier and it looks like I can make as many as I want for super cheap I just need updated dimensions and a great pic of some "real ones" and theyll get made. again if anyone wants these let me know and production could begin early next year peace JD

waldo,
I'm assuming that you've seen the clips first hand, can you confirm the specs of the clips? If not, i'm just going w/ Erik Larson's specs. Trying to see if I can get a bunch made for a fair price. If that doesn't work maybe JDSmodulus can sell me some. It's all about avoiding the headache.

I was just over at Dozin's looking at the cab specs and all the dimensions of the clips are on there. Here is the link.

I bet if someone had some CAD software or just some aluminum to cut you could make these things pretty easily. Just my .02

Those are dimensions for a 3x12 cab.

I don't think the clips changed from speaker cab to speaker cab.

right, I neglected to read the phrase "of the clips" - thought he was talking about a 2x12 cab.

Please let me know if those clips become available (I guess I'd need eight).

Hey, what do you guys think is a fair price (each) for JBL E120's, new, still in box?

If you mean new, still in box with orignal cones? I would be happy to pay 250 each, because if someone threw up original cone, "new" e-120's on the bay I think you would see it well over 3 bills. Run of the mill old cones, or "decent" recones are averaging 175-210
