Yes indeed! Years back I played with a bassist who played through a Showman (non reverb) head + 2x15 cabinet and he had it cranked and controlled through attach and bass settings. Talk about control, aggression and making notes bloom or explode. Wow! And in many clubs today with a few subs lots of mains and 4 or 5 monitor mixes I can easily see a bassist using a rig like that again!
