I would find a Ibanez 2622 and a Roland jazz chorus amp.

The 2622 has the first version eq system in it like Weir's guitar. I can get you the eq system in a pedal that works really well. I used it with my blue lightning bolt guitar and was really surprised how it sounded. It's something with mixing the gain and volume where you find a sweet tone.

Nice! There are some jc 120s in my area from $300 to $600, which is a bit more then I wanted to spend, but I might check it out. Is that a tube amp? Did Bobby use tubes?
The 2622 is $20k. Nope..

Thanks for your help

Yeah, that gold 2622 is not what you want. Find the basic one.

I'd try to find a JC77 it has 10" speakers in it. I have both and like the smaller one better. It's a solid state amp.

He stopped playing his Gibson in 74

I'm not familiar with the Peavey

Just went and the store didn't have it. They did have a dv mark little jazz guitar combo. I haven't played electric for years and never knew much about tone, so I don't know what to look for. Sounded good. Does Bobby usually play on the treble side of the pick ups?
Thanks!

Can you share more about the eq pedal? Sorry if this is in another thread.

Eq can be turned on of off.

When on, there are low/mid/high controls.

There's also a master gain control.

It provides tremendous flexibility to shape your sound. You can also use it as an onboard boost.
