Out of Phase on an Ibanez?

Assuming the Ibanez wiring is reasonably consistent in the late '70's early '80's era, on this diagram, what would mean 'out of phase'?

Parallel? Series? Certainly not tapped...?

Ibanez wiring changed between 70's & 80's.

The Super 80's had: humbucker (series), single coil, phase reversal.
The Super 58's had: humbucker (series), single coil, humbucker (parallel)

I have the 70's wiring diagrams for Super 80's with phase reversal.

Could you post that or send it to me? I may think about trying to re-wire if it seems feasible.

Sure - PM me your email address.

You'll need the tri-sound Super 80 pickups. Do you have them? They're not easy to find.

Hmm, no - can't do it with other pickups I guess? PM coming!

Maybe, however, the wiring will be different. The trisound pickups are odd as they have 3 wires plus shield.

Thanks MK, after much deliberation I am filing this under the 'maybe later' category!

Can you get the "New" Super 80 pickups they are making for the Artist models?

You can probably purchase them as spare parts, however, they are not the same as the old ones.
