I started playing bass over 5 years ago, mainly Dead tunes. Learned a lot of songs simply by ear and tabs- but recently because of this site, I started learning chords, scales and variations. It has helped me tremendously. The guy on here who mentioned pentatonic scales pretty much made learning dead tunes so much easier.
Thanks, Uncle Bone

Yo from the Philly Burbs!

It's cool you play bass the Phil kind of way. I played the Phil role many times and there are other Phil influenced players here too. Any questions you have this is the place to find out stuff.

You're in good company!

Welcome!

G. Dad

I'm a Binghamton resident, too. Although I live in Gilbertsville (outside Oneonta) now. I'm guessing we probably know each other somehow.
