My good friend Scott Fore got to live out a dream of mine last week and played on the Grand Ole Opry. We occasionally play gypsy jazz together and he's one of the best bluegrass guitarists on the planet. I haven't heard how he hooked up with this gig but he play with Aubrey Peeples who, I had never heard of but is on this Nashville TV show. I do know that she has a badass signing voice. She does a couple of bluesy country-ish tunes and Scott plays some sweet slide on the first one. Check it out. He's on the June 14 show a little past halfway through the show. The player is a little clunky.

I wish I could find the other tune they did - this one was my favorite though. Scott is the real deal, he won the Winfield National Flatpicking Championship in the early 2000's, and a bunch of other bluegrass guitar competitions. He plays a mean electric too. Somewhere I've got a recording of him sitting in with my Dead band rockin' a Cassidy and a few other tunes.
