I would agree with it being a better song for Ratdog.
fwiw, I first saw them do this song at Autzen in the early 90's, and when Bobby/Jerry hit the vocal line Co-Ri-Naaaaaaaaaa, I was like... Oh Maaan. :roll:
That's probably why I don't have a good feeling for it as a Dead song.

We called 'em "bathroom songs" because you could go to the bathroom and not feel like you missed anything! Most of Bob's cowboy tunes got old after awhile, if I was on tour, but it's tough because on so many of them, they could just hit it right and it would melt me! I think I liked all the songs, but, ahem, wasn't much of a fan of drums/space....flame away....
