Thanks AJ, we did pretty much the same thing Fri and Sat night at this new Club/bar here in Jackson called Georgia Blues. The place is awesome and PACKED!!, the guy is a big blues fan and ex college days dead head too. We are starting to do really well and blessed as a 3 piece. The 3 piece puts some dead songs out of reach, but some others right in the palm of our hands.

I have to admit, I always like reading your set lists they are certainly not "run of the mill" or confined to one bands covers. I personally love hearing a band that thinks a little outside of the box, it is refreshing and original while covering at the same time (so you know the words and tune). We are trying to hit about 60% Dead tunes and the rest blues. We seem to be the only one fusing blues and Dead in our area which is really taking off. Too bad thousands of miles separate us, I would love to throw down some of those tunes with y'all... I love some Lou Reed or Velvet Underground.

Agreed Jonny, great variety - love the Lou Reed too. Love the ZZ Top too - I think I wore out an LP of Deguello in high school (though they were one of the few concerts I ever walked out on for poor performance).

Damn, that is a long set with all those epic jams.... you must have been thirsty or had to pee really bad at the end of all that

LOL, thirsty mainly. We should've taken a break. We were concerned about losing some of the audience due to our late start, etc. We did a show a few months earlier, took a break and like a third of the people left.
