1st have to apologize for posting in wrong area for so long. When someone sent me link to this site I thought it was only the "Grateful Dead General Discussion" and didn't look at the main index of the site. Finally saw the correct place to post. Again, sorry for putting DOL news in the wrong place. Actually, seeing now a bunch of other cool topics here. Thanks to mod for putting all this together.

A bunch of new dates posted on our site. http://www.deadonlive.com with many more updates and discussion on http://www.facebook.com/deadonlive. Most of the dates are follow ups to our Workingman's Dead American Beauty show with our 71 - 72 show (Skull and Roses, Garcia, Europe 72 and Ace). We recently did a very nice pvt party in PA and it was recorded and shared here on the internet archive site. http://archive.org/details/dol2012-06-1 ... ack.flac16

However, working hard towards the debut of the next show DOL 73 - 74, 11/2/12 at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank NJ. Tix on sale and apparently selling well. This show will be full productions, as heard on the records Wake Of The Flood, Mars Hotel, Garcia's Compliments and a special show kickoff with songs from Old And In The Way. A bunch of very cool special guests including a few friends from Levon's Ramble horn section. (Wait until you here Let's Spend The Night together and Russian Lullabye!)

Thanks and hope to see you out there. PA, CT, Boston or NJ. Hoping to take this stuff further out there. CO, CA, VT!

Thanks!

Hey folks. It's been too long. Cool things shaking though.

Our return to Boston's Berklee Performance Center with our DOL 71 - 72 show for Friday 11/30 is on sale now. https://www.vendini.com/ticket-software ... ed2a&t=tix Please tell your friends in the area! If you haven't seen this show, which was debuted last year at the Count Basie Theater, it's note for note, full productions of music from Skull and Roses, Garcia, Europe 72 and Ace. (China Rider, top to bottom as heard on the record. Crazy!)

This follow up show to our Workingman's Dead American Beauty show will also be presented back at The Historic Blairstown Theater, Blairstown NJ Saturday 11/10 as well as the good old Sellersville Theater in Sellersville PA on Sunday 12/23. (Merry Holidays!)

Don't forget the next big installment in our continuing note for note recreations series, DOL 73 - 74, debuting Friday 11/2 back at our home base, the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank NJ. This is going to be a huge show featuring, again, note for note full productions, as never heard live before, selections from Wake Of The Flood (Weather Report Suite top to bottom! Horns, background vocal section! Crazy!), Mars Hotel (Unbroken Chain, jet noise and all!), Garcia's Compliments and a special show kick off with some Old And In The Way, as well as a beautiful tribute to the original heart and soul of the Dead, Pigpen.

Also, just added! Our Workingman's Dead American Beauty show will be performed at the beautiful Infinity Hall in Norfolk CT Saturday 12/15 http://www.infinityhall.com/events/dead-on-live/ This venue boasts one of the best sound system's in the northeast in a very intimate, small theater setting. Also, another beautiful, historic venue Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown NY Friday 12/28 (Merry New Year!) 30 minutes north of NYC!!!!

Please tell your friends. We need your support to keep this unique offering rolling!! Looking to head west next year!

Thanks!

Marc and crew

Wow, 1st full band rehearsal for 73-74 show debuting Friday 11/2 at Count Basie Theater in Red Bank NJ was surreal. Mississippi Halfstep with the incredible Gary Oleyar copping Vassar's fiddle part that weaves in and around Jerry's guitar. Unbroken Chain with full backing vocals, the jet noise and the crazy jam in the middle. Weather Report suites with Tom Circosta singing, full horn section and Jerry's pedal steel. Please come check out the work that's going into this. Coming up just after Halloween. http://www.countbasietheatre.org/calend ... d=43247670

On sale today is the beautiful and historic Tarrytown Music Hall for our Workingman's Dead American Beauty show for Friday 12/28. This is a major NYC area venue for us and hoping for a good turnout for our debut there. Their roster of artists is amazing and we're humbled to be a part of it. http://tickets.tarrytownmusichall.org

Also, our debut at the famed Infinity Hall in Norfolk CT has been moved to Saturday 12/29, again the Workingman's show. This venue is the hippest, coziest with a killer sound system. Cool too, the talent buyer there worked for Grateful Dead records in the early 70's and has the best stories from back in the day. http://www.infinityhall.com/events/dead-on-live

71-72 show set for The Historic Blairstown Theater, Blairstown NJ Saturday 11/10 , Berklee Performance Center, Boston MA Friday 11/30 http://www.berklee.edu/events/dead-live, and the good old Sellersville Theater, Sellersville PA, Sunday 12/23 http://www.st94.com/store/Dead-On-Live- ... 12.23.aspx.

Thanks

Hey, nice. Jambands posted our upcoming schedule. http://www.jambands.com/news/2012/10/04 ... our-dates/
A couple pretty brutal comments but then people that actually SAW the show started chiming in. Very nice and much appreciated by all that work so hard putting this together.

BTW, LOTS of jamming and different arrangements in every show too! Some cool special guests time to time too.

The debut of our 73-74 show is less than 2 weeks away. Friday November 2nd at Count Basie Theater in Red Bank NJ. It's being filmed by Cablevision for an upcoming feature on us. Come be a part. Unbroken Chain crazy piano fills, Mississippi Halfstep Vassar fiddle, Weather Report pedal steel and horns. All complete as heard on the records. It will be at least several months until this show is played again. Please come. We will be doing a sneak peak though at our Blairstown Theater 71-72 show the following week though, Saturday 11/10.
thanks.

Jersey Shore got hammered by the storm. We did OK at the top of Shark River Hills. Our neighbors down the road on the river unfortunately were not as lucky. We hope everyone recovers soon.

Our 73-74 Basie show in Red Bank, originally scheduled for 11/2, was postponed until Saturday 11/24, Thanksgiving weekend. It's the grand re-opening of the theater since the storm and we're looking for a great night. Hope you can make it.

We're looking at a nor'easter today with snow forecast for Blairstown NJ where we have our 71-72 show scheduled for this Saturday 11/10. Hopefully all will be well by the weekend and hoping to see some friends come out for the show.

thanks folks.
Marc and crew

If anyone in the area wants to hang before the show hit me up - I live up the street form the Theater.
Last year we got together and had a blast.
Looks like the band will be doing cuts from E 72 and Skull And Roses.
Gonna be a Grate time
