Knock off, no....

Gary Kramer and Travis Bean were partners. They designed and marketed the Aluminum neck concept together. Kramer and Bean split up and Kramer went on to redesign the Aluminum neck guitar with his ideas.

I say this alot and sometimes I feel like I'm preaching to the choir given Garcia's association with Travis Bean, but the Kramer is a much better made and better sounding instrument. The Travis Bean is a tough instrument to own and to maintain. The grade of Aluminum that they initially used for the neck is very unstable. It's ironic that the earliest Travis Beans are fetching the most bread because they are frankly the worst ones. It wasn't until Kramer met Phil Petillo that they solved the inherant flaws with the Travis Bean. By that point Gary Kramer had split from Bean. He took his new ideas and rolled out his line of Aluminum neck Guitars and Basses.

That's a nice looking Kramer. Always wanted one. What does she weigh?

Think mini-buckers could fit into her?

BTW, sent you a PM the other day.
