I'm looking to work through a rich building ascending pattern that I can use.

I've been wasting my time searching on pages for some examples and exercises that i can apply to scales.

I don't care what scales or progressions we apply it to - it's a buck players choice. We can start with a mix scale over the V IV I part of morning dew, for example.

I'd appreciate any help on this.

Sometimes I just need to be shown the light and I'm off and running.

I'm posting a reply so more people see this on the board!

Still would appreciate any tips on a sweet ascending line on any scale!

Just tossing something out here, don't have much time to get too in depth.

Play a descending triplet. Move up to the next note in the scale and play another descending triplet. Keep moving up the scale with descending triplets. This could be done in quads as well. When you get up as high as you want to go, maybe throw in some bends and a slide and bring it on back down.

You might try doing a 3, 1, 2, triplet followed by a 4, 2, 3 then 5, 3, 4 and keep moving up in that fashion.

Hope this makes sense. Gotta run..
