Here's a fave of mine by the beatles. Norweigan Wood.

I play it in D although I believe it's in E and they
capo up. I'm not sure what the changes are over the main riff cause I just flat pick and strum.

----I once had a girl....

----D
----d--u-d---------u-d----------u-d---------d-u-d-u
e---2--2-2---------2-2----------2-2---------2-2-2-2-
b---3--3-3---------3-3----------3-3---------3-3-3-3-
g---2--2-2-4-2-0---2-2---0------2-2---0-----2-2-2-2-
d---0--0-0-------4-----2---4--0-------------0-0-0-0-
a-----------------------------------3--2--0

d=down strum
u=up strum

For me it helps to barre the D position on the 2nd fret. So I barre the G, B and E strings on the 2nd fret and use my middle finger for the D note on the 3rd fret. I then play the whole line with my first and fourth fingers.

The other part (She asked me to stay...) is
Dm - G - Dm - G - A7 - D

I've seen some different chords for this last part but I prefer these.
