Using the looper here for a full rhytym track except the intro and outro. Posted the tab for the intro a while back. Using the new amp from jason for the lead track.

Think

Lyrics & Music: Jimmy McCracklin, Don Robey (Dedric Malone)

Verse 1

And in return, you could give up yours

Before we think, what would we do later on?
````````````G`````````````````G/F#/F
But it don't make sense, to take the chance
----------F------------------------------C
Before we think, what would we do later on?
-------------G-----------------G/G#/F
What kind of life would we have
--------------------------C----------G#7/G7
Just in case we both were wrong?
Verse 3
---------------C
Well love is a gamble, we know that's true
Why gamble on me? Why should I on you?
----------F-----------------------------C
Before we think, what would we do later on?
-------------G-----------------G/G#/F
What kind of life would we have
--------------------------C
Just in case we both were wrong?
-------------G-----------------G/G#/F
What kind of life would we have
--------------------------C
Just in case we both were wrong?
Outro:
C---------G-----G/G#/F---C-C7-C6-C+-C----G7/C7
Note: I never heard JG sing the 3rd verse. He repeats the 1st verse. Now I have - mid '70's I believe.
Intro tab
All hammers are short and almost not there.
Note: edited 4/10/05 - Bold portion of intro lick was placed on D & A strings instead of G & D strings. Oops, sorry.
Thanks guys - In looking at how I had some of the tab I thought I'd update as I'm doing it slightly differently in the vid - first I kinda flat and fingerpick though the intro is pretty much flat. I'm hammering from the 10 and not the 11 on the G like so:
This is predominately a single note take on the line.
(/) Slide Up (\) Slide Down (h) Hammer On (p) Pull Off (b) Bend (r) Release (v) Vibrato
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------------
B|---------11-------------11-------------11------------------------9---8---
G|--10h12------12--10h12------12--10h12------12--8h10--8------8h9--11--10--
D|--------------------------------------------------------10-------10--9---
A|-----------------------------------------------------------------11--10--
E|-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then this is kinda the fuller finger pick version:
(/) Slide Up (\) Slide Down (h) Hammer On (p) Pull Off (b) Bend (r) Release (v) Vibrato
E|------------------------------------------------------------------------
B|--11-----11--11--11-----11--11--11-----11--11--10--8------8-----9---8---
G|--10h12--12--12--10h12--12--12--10h12--12--12--10--8------8-h9--11--10--
D|--10-------------10-------------10-------------10-----10--10----10--9---
A|----------------------------------------------------------------11--10--
E|------------------------------------------------------------------------
Of note is that the turn-around has only 2 instead of the 3 reps of the initial riff.
Here's a slight change in the chorus riff in the vid:
(/) Slide Up (\) Slide Down (h) Hammer On (p) Pull Off (b) Bend (r) Release (v) Vibrato
E|---------------------------------------
B|---------------------------------------
G|--------------------------------10-----
D|---------10--12--10---------10---------
A|--11/12--------------11/12----------8--
E|---------------------------------------
As always questions, comments welcome.
