I posted this to the song forum. maybe some could assit me, i just can't get that hook to song good

I'm trying play in different positions. At first i was thinking play an open shuffle off e a d.
Now I think e th 7, e in 5 th, a th the 5th. The C - A - C - A is a shuffle in C.

Any ideas?
