Who can advise some site where newly created band can promote its music? I’d like to make my band more popular. Somebody gave me a link on artistecard.com on my facebook page. Does anybody know these services? Maybe someone knows other sites, something affordable?

It may take some time, but play live dead and they will come. I think with every band I've been in, playing regularly, get into your cities free press with gig dates, Facebook, twitter, etc... We found posters at your local colleges help a lot too. I don't think there is a secret to instant popularity. I've never used online booking sites so I dunno how that works. And remember you won't get rich being a GD tribute band, it's a labor of love I guess. Good luck man!

My classic rock band had some postcard sized leaflets printed that we distribute around the tables at our gigs with details of the band , the band's website and inviting people to participate in an email messaging list. We also make sure that the email promotes the venue where we are playing with a link to their website and that the venue gets a copy.

You can also do this through your five squillion face book friends.
