Monday at the U of Delaware was my second time seeing Furthur. Obviously, it was an amazing show. Alabama Getaway, of all songs, was KILLER. Two things strike me though after my second time in attendance.
1.)The amount of people who think of JK as "this new guy", and seem completely unaware of DSO.
2.)That this is in no way a reunion type of band. The renditions of the Dead songs all seem fresh with slightly different arrangements, the new covers are fun, and Bob & Phil seem like they are really playing their asses off.

U.S. Blues

Some really great moments last night.......bigger review coming.......
1/2 Step> king solomons was off the was not a true drums in between it was really just an extended drum intro to king solomons...

I thought sugar mag was pretty weak..... not at the right tempo......
John tore up Loser, and the jam in 1/2 step hit several peaks, they would peak it, drop it down and bring it back, very impressive.

El Paso was fun....

Bobby split time between the burst es-335 and the pink Modulus, played the pink modulus much more than I thought he would....sounded great...
John played the carvin all night, never switched that I could see (although I dont remember the wheel opener either so my memory could be a bit "off)

most suprising of all, phil did not touch the ritter....the whole night was the 6 string modulus, very cool

i guess I wasnt that impaired.they didnt play the wheel last night...............I pulled the setlist off TOO board.....
show opened with jam>the other one (v1)...........

thank god, because I was right there when they started, and the thought of me actually not remembering the actual opener was scaring me into thinking I inherited the alzheimers my grandfather had 25 years too early!

Just an FYI for those that did not know this, but Jill Lesh and Matt (Bob's manager)
have been writing all the setlists. From what I've read, Jill is writing the list for tonight (3/3) for the Zoners--this is from her posts on Phil zone----and if you haven't seen Phil and Jill actually posted there a bit a couple days ago. here's a link. It doesn't seem to let me post the exact link so you have to look up the thread in the discussion forums titled "Jill Pulled Thread" on "Other Stuff"---Believe it or not, Phil threatened to beat some dudes ass for rude comments about Jill having an affair and they both flipped the bird to him!
