DUDE! That's AWESOME!

You should have one of those shows like on HGTV where they come in and re-do your whole house for under $2k - except building cheap guitars!!

The Rat-o-caster or Rat-igator is a really sweet ax. I got to play this guit one night at a gig on the beach and it plays really well. Sounds sweet too.

He also put an Alembic Stratoblaster in my brand new 2008 strat. It's everything that I hoped it would be and more.

Now to have ya put one of those you made for $18 on Muffy the Frankencaster................so she can scream too.

Nice job man...

Most Gator fanatics, such as myself, overlook the retainer over all the strings. Jerry knew what he liked. That steeper angle over the nut on the E and A strings is key. I speculate that the last 2 versions of Gator had the master tone mod as opposed to independent tone controls. For most of 72' Jerry only had 2 pots in the guitar.

So, what does a string retainer like that do to the sound?
