That Wolf, Jr. is pretty wild looking. Jeez, three humbuckers AND a single coil, Strat style, at the bridge.

I even can't imagine all the pickup combos.

old man down wrote:Cool thing about Cleveland these day is that there are these guitar sculptures in the downtown area at every corner. Big oversized guitars made by some artist, with BIG, THICK cable strings on them. All of them are different, individual works of art.
Sorry for once again planting my ugly mug in the way but these are the sculptures in front of the Rock Hall itself.

At first glance, it looked like a pickup to me too. But I think those things that look like "poles" are actually the string saddles on the Steinberger-esque bridge assembly..

Yup, you are right. Silly me. Foolish old man that I am. What looks like the poles in a pickup are clearly not in line and are undoubtably the saddles.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I think I'll just crawl to the nearest rock and take a rest.

I definitely understand the benefits of the Steinberger-type guitars, and I'm not big on them asthetically speaking but, man o man, Wolf Jr is pretty cool.

If The Wolf was StarTrek does that mean Wolf jr is ST;Next Generation ?
That is really far out.
This is 1st time I ever have heard about it.
I like the Alembic Eagle inlay at the 1st fret.

Anyone else have more info on Wolf Jr? I've heard it mentioned here and there, but nothing technically interesting. Just wondering.

The Eagle inlay is Doug Irwin's emblem.

Alembic's logo is like a hand coming out of a cloud and grasping Ourobouros

Yep - I always forget that.

Isnt Ourobouros the snake that eats its tail ?
I thought Alembic was the tree symbol ?
