Im seriously thinking of downsizing my rack to a 8 space rack. Ive been thinking about Gators and SKBs, and was wondering if anybody here had any input on which is more rugged and durable.

I don't think you can go wrong with either. We have had 3 power amps amd a crossover in a Gator rack for 5 years(easy 80 pounds) and we beat the crap out of it. No problems. My pedal board is SBK and it is built like a tank. I would look for the best deal on either. Good luck!

I actually have an EWI now. Super heavy duty. Im just more into the look of the SKB/Gator cases. Not to mention the weight...
