Has anyone tried the flanger that MXR makes? I'm not talking about the micro, but the reissue of their 70s flanger (4 button model). Im curious to see if it comes anywhere in the ballpark of an FL-305. Ive got an Ibanez FL9 right now, and it seems to be a little loud and tinny. I'll admit Im always tweaking it, trying to get a closer Bobbyish flange sound....but it always kind of boosts my signal too. Any input would be grately appreciated!

I also just read that the original MXR Flangers from the 70s use the SAD1024 chip (as found in the vintage Ibanez units), I wonder if the re-issues use the same? Judging by how "rare" the chips are considered to be, I'm sure they've subbed in another chip...

I never liked the FL9. The FL305 is a very nice flanger, comparable to the AD230 & UE700 flanger.
