Tiger Buffer HandMade New product for Sale

Postby 1dallek1 » Thu Jun 09, 2011 10:56 am

Hello
I am a service tech and have been involved with the OBEL system installing and repairing it for a long time now. I've been making these buffers for myself and my private cliental with very good results, I am endorsed for repair by Phiga guitars. I Make the Tiger Buffer to spec following the published schematic and hand test each one. They are made with the best Materials available, Wima Caps, Dale Military or consumer resistors upon request , NATIONAL SEMICONDUCTOR 356n, Reinforced gold insert Dip socket, and lastly a new twist in connection technology, a Phoenix Contact 4 pin Screw header. This allows a high quality no solder screw connection guaranteed not to oxidize and perform as well as solder without the work, finally no more broken connections. This connection allows easy installation and removal for the lifetime of the unit. The unit is all hand soldered on high quality perf board either using the component leads for connection or Tin Plated Copper Buss Wire from tube depot. It conforms to the original published schematic with a few minor layout changes for a nice small package. Essentially this is point to point connection. The picture speaks for itself these items are meticulously assembled. This is an all handmade product and will only be offered as a handmade product not to compete with other offerings/versions of this item and to ensure the best quality performance and a history accurate recreation of the original tiger buffer. This is not to be confused in any way with the CAE line of buffers, They are a different design and result. The key things i can say about this buffer is it is warm and musical sounding, and they interact with your effects in a way that will help you achieve your goals, especially with the mutron 3's filter response. It is priced modestly at $60 + shipping. comes with a full 1 year warrantee and money back guarantee. All Payments will be through payppal to ensure security. . the dimensions are 1-1/2" x 1-3/4" x 7/8". please respond to dallek@nyc.rr.com if you are interested, Buffers will be made to order. Note of interest the Avatar is an additive scope comparison of a dry and buffer processed signalthank you
ns

In the picture i Had to completely rewire the guitar after another parties attempt to fix it. I have switched to a smaller one piece header connector, this is an older prototype

I also offer installation of this item, I can install the OBEL and i highly recommend another product to be used with any Buffer and OBEL, that is the LOBAT Battery Monitoring System. If you need any of these services please contact me. I can provide references for my work if requested

Here are some comments from satisfied customers

hey neil,
I have had about 20 shows a month since you hooked up my amps. they are all in perfect working order still and sound better than ever. i would love to get one of these buffers in my LP maybe at somepoint this summer i can upgrade my axe. oh and thx again for the graphite pick. have almost worn that one down to the bone.!!

Hi neil,
i worked last night with the amp and it sounds great..huge difference in the sound!!

hey neil,
andrew is very pleased as well. sorry i didn't get back to you sooner but i have been without my blackberry and been on a short 3day tour and got back late last night. my amps sounded great! thanks for the tips on the tubes too. i will check them out asap. hope all is well.
**************
neil,

So far I've only played it with my Mutron octave divider and my Fender combo. To me the new buffer's sound is much crisper, bell like highs and crisp lows. It's definitely a better sound. Did not over power the octave divider. Tonight I will put it through my complete Hard Truckers rig with Mutron at practice and let you know more.

not yet neil, this guy booked a few more gigs, ill get back to you asap...btw the amp i think sounds better and better, i dont know if thats possible or just my imagination.

neil (Mad Professor Amp)
Perfect. Sounds like it should, no changes in tone and loud.
I want to swap out the v1 and v2 tubes to the telefunkun tubes.
Nice crisp top end and tight lows with tons of tone options.
Thanks.

You sound like my kind of person, you've been extraordinarily patient with me and from what I can gather you are extremely honest, extremely fair and not out to rip anyone off. The internet is filled with deceitful people, you really can't tell who to trust, but I wholeheartedly trust you.
Thank you so much, you are a true gentleman.

AMAZING NEIL SHULMAN!!!

I give you all the information you asked for, listen to your lame excuse in not being able to pay up front for a preamp until you install it for a customer, i send you a preamp upfront and you NEVER pay for it. NOW, you all of a sudden are an expert on them and handmake them!!! you my friend ripped me off, and even though i have no recourse, karma definately will be catching up with you!

welcome aboard indeed and best of luck with your product!

1dallek1 wrote:Hi, ive been writeing to you these past few months ai don’t want to call this a favor but can you send me one of these TPC1 to evaluate, I’m a bit short right now , you can check Phiga’s Bolt page, im endorsed by him so I’m involved with recommending the product to be used. I have a customer coming in this week with a broken Phiga wolf and it sounds like the buffer is damaged from what I was told, I’m going to install yours if I can get one for now. I’ve been installing CAE’s , im tied up with a bunch of these. Obviously I’ll send you the payment when I sell yours, most likely this job. I’ve included a picture of my setup, it’s a bit of a departure using the trio with the realtube reverb with a tube power amp, in this case a mesa 295. The 295 was an educated guess on my part that really worked, it is powerful, clean and tube warmth with tons of headroom with the option to go to class a. my philosophy has always been not to carbon copy but to evolve. So getting back to it I have enough in my paypal for shipping right now, im most likely going to sell the thing next week. I would appreciate it if you would extend me a professional courtesy on this occasion as I’m changing things around here. After all that I’ve experienced with cae I’m looking for a change. If you don’t want to get involved like this I understand I’ll have to get some money together but that’s another story. I would appreciate an answer so I can make plans. Aside from all this I’ve done pretty well with getting the sound that is being sought after, if I put some samples together would you be interested in hearing them?

rsimon and 1dallek1 are both Neil Schulman,

in fact i can prove it as rsimon has been emailing me to verify his work as if i owe it to him to do so. 1dallek1's layout matches rsimons layout to a T.

pretty shady character that Neil Schulman is, probably doesn't realize his IP addresses are the same as well!

here is the layout he sent me and you should be able to tell for yourself.

here are the 2 lined up.

wow talk about conspiracy theorists? i guess i was on the grassy knoll also? but this is interesting , allot of diversion going on here, again what is the pitch of this connector that fits the board with wires? why are there no answers here? and why is there so much hostility over a new product that has a 1 year and money back gaurentee ? I put my 2 cents in and who are you saying i am? wow

let me get this straight? i send you a preamp you said you'd pay for, and didn't. i answered all your questions about Jerry's preamp, Cae Sounds preamps, and explained jerry's rig to you. then you approach me under another name to verify your soon to be products layout, of which i gave you all the info for. NOW you still demand that i tell you things such as the lead spacing/pitch of what i use on my boards?

i apologize for not getting that info to you sooner, they are spaced this far

So he:

Ripped off an Rukind member.
Created multiple accounts, one of which is a sock puppet and that's not allowed on Rukind.

You are correct about the IP address thing. I'll check the access logs to see if the USER AGENT matches, if it does I have to assume that the 2 users are posting from the same computer.

The thread can stay here unlocked until the morning. In any event, both accounts have been Koons'ed... Have a nice day!

Even if rsimon were legit (which I highly doubt) I'd already hate him just for the run-on sentences and bad spelling. Read a book once in a while and learn the English language before coming here and bothering us with incoherent garbage posts like that. :?
