pedalboard question

I want to buy a new pedal board I am looking for something secure where I can just leave my pedals set up and also something to power them clean. I am thinking of this http://www.guitarcenter.com/Furman-SPB- ... 1169891.gc

what do you guys think ? is there something better I should do ?

That is the one I use. I tote it around everywhere and it works quite well. I've had no issues with it. I love the case, wheels and handle. The only thing I have done is cut a big piece of foam to sit in the case on top of the pedals while moving it around because as you wheel it the pedals are upside down and I dont trust the velcro.

Actually though since I got my new mesa boogie I ditched ALL my pedals. I dont know how long I will keep that up but it is quite liberating.

The Furman'll work wonderfully for you, go for it.

It sort of depends on how many effects you want to put on it and how big they are. That Furman board is great if you have 1 row of pedals. But if you have a lot of pedals and you configure them in 2 rows - since the board is flat, the ones in the back are difficult to step on.

I had one similar to that and eventually went to a Pedal Pad - http://www.pedalpad.com/
I like that it comes in a 2 row configuration, both rows on an angle - and the 2nd row higher. MUCH easier to hit the back row of pedals.

That is an excellent point. I arrange so that the back row of pedal are the ones I use rarely or keep them on for an entire song. So that I am not trying to hit it in the middle of a tune. It really is only a minor distraction.

I have nearly the same but its and SKB. Def one of the best gear purchases ive ever made. If you don't have many pedals its probably a lil excessive.
One tip....

Make sure you get real strong Velcro for your pedals...

one other piece of advice - get some good industrial grade velcro for the pedals. Glue it on to the bottom of the pedals with some good glue. The velcro tends to not stick to well to the bottom of the pedals.

Get yourself some gatorboard and "roll your own"
Here's the one I built .. 2 rows (2nd row raised higer than the first for easy tapping), angled, cutout for wah ...

For power, I went with a cheapo - "One Spot", but you could get a Voodoo Labs pedal power or something like that for a better power option

I am going to go with the Furman the only other board that looks like it compares is the SKB 55 they both have individual power for each pedal the SKB looks like it has a few more options with the voltage but my mutron III+ has been working just fine with 9V. I like the power conditioning and loop I am more interested in that then the board itself. I have an old SKB board but want the clean power for my pedals and amp. The only problem I have with the SKB is my last one broke in a matter of months.

i have had my furhman for about 2 years and take it out about once a week or so with no issues.
