Tabs?

Postby weedar » Thu Sep 21, 2006 8:24 am

By the by, some songs are missing on the tab page, but exist in the
forums, like "The only time is now" - will they ever be a part of rukind,
they are after all original Dead songs.

What is that?

The only songs that got pulled are the ones that are NOT original Dead songs.

It wasn't pulled, it has AFAIK never been on rukind, but it does belong here.

Right?

Heh, this time I'm not sure I understood what you meant..
Anyway, the thread which discusses the song/tab is the
following:
http://community.rukind.org/viewtopic.php?t=933

I want it accessible from the tabs-menu, instead of having
to search for it every time.

Weedar!

The light bulb has finally come on! I get it all now! And it all makes sense.

I will now step out of this conversation.

Sorry for the confusion.

While I'm busy demanding things 8) I would love to have a link on the
left-hand frame directly to the GD-tabs, as of now you have to first
click home and then the link to the tabs. Lazy, me? :D

Well I am going to add my 2cs in too.The actual problem is not with the artist themselves but the major record labels and the book publishing companies. Now I'm no expert here but I have heard from experts in the field. One was a lawyer friend. What he bascially explained to me wasthis. The artist gets very little from publishing rights to tab and music books so for them it's not as big of a deal. But now lets look at the publishing houses. If they print books not just from one band but hundreds of bands they can make lots of money. So the dead has there tabs out there for free.Ok one band no big deal, but now what if every band let there tabs go for free.Ooops no more publishing companies.Another reason we should all be thankful for this site and the dead members for still alowing this.
I know this was a very simplistic explantion of a much more complex issue
Thanx guys for keeping this site going
