Jerry's Boss EQ settings

If this has been covered before I apologize but does anyone know what settings Jer used on the two Boss EQ's he used in the late 80's and 90's?

He wasn't using EQ pedals in the 80's - not until '92, or possibly '91 at the earliest. Was it an improvement...?

doh, missed that! correct, the EQ's do not come on the scene until that 90's rack does.

i think they were only used to have more control of the frequency responses of the overdrives from venue to venue, thus why the different settings seen.

Did Jerry have the capability to choose effects into his signal kinda like a GCX switcher? Always wondered that. If he could, would it be possible he could use them for other purposes too?

yes, he had an 80's version and a 90's version effects switching unit made by cutler that allowed him to individually insert each effect in or out of the circuit. this is how he true bypassed them. if you are asking if he had a programmable footpedal to program a group of pedals to come on at one time or toggle between sets of pedals, no he did not for these units.

correct, was just doing that research as well and clearly an OD-2, the OD-2r doesn't come to life until 1994 and he was using thoses boss's well before then.

As I noted on another thread, I just got my GE-7 and it turned out to b a lot more pedal than I expected. Besides being tone shaper for los, mids and highs, it also seems to work like a "tone enhancer"?! How does that work? After getting used to it, when I turn it off my guitar sounds like a Squire through a cheap amp. And as stated on another thread, having it in line before the envelope filter really improves the sound of the filter.

The GE-7 is very noisy though. There are mods out there to help eliminate the noise.
