SHUGUANG Tubes

Hey fellers, am interested in a preamp retube and I see Brad's SMS is running with SHUGUANG tubes. Has anyone used these in an actual twin or TRRI? I am considering using them after I read Brad endorsing them. As I usually take his advice to heart without question, and I am on this too, I would only like to hear what others think of them compared to some of the other high end or newer reissue tubes on the market. I am particularly speaking of preamp tubes. Thanks!! ---JB

I give 'em two thumbs up in the SMS preamp. I don't hear any artifacts that I associate with cheap tubes just great 12ax7 tone.

You done any swapping of that preamp tube set into your other TRRI or Mesa, and vice-versa?

Good idea, as soon as I can get some time an space to make some noise I'm gonna test out my various speaker cabs to see what the best match I'll test the tubes out while I'm at it. My Mesa V-Twin preamp would be a good one to test it with since it's a 2 12ax7 preamp too.
