I think you mean D7#9? (x7#9 always known the Jimmy Hendrix chord :-)

Unless you play it a step down from the key the Dead did it in, in which case c7#9 would fir

Same chord I use at the end of MAMU, minor 6th

Indeed. It has an ending very much like MAMU where there is room for a few variants.
