thanks Waldo!!! I was looking through your page and saw the knob settings for Jerry's twin. I was a bit shocked that he had the bass all the way down. I never used a lot of it but usually had it set at 3 or 4. I played a gig last night and thought I would do a stage test and man, it really hit that sound. It's funny, I've been playing this stuff for 25 years and never thought of that.

Wasn't the best tone for the couple of Allman Bros songs we had to play though.

It's cool that you have done so much research and have shared the wealth of information you have gathered with the rest of us.

As an interesting aside- there has been a slew of vintage fender amps (chassis only) on the Bay recently, being sold by one guy. He's selling off his brother's collection, and they all start at 99 cents. What's interesting is that the majority seem to have been converted to pre-amps only. I found that curious.
