Video Instruction

Postby phpbb » Mon Jul 24, 2006 5:21 am

Ed whipped up this sample video file which I converted to flash video and placed on a simple page:

http://www.bickslicks.com/halfstep/index.html

We are interested in Streaming Quality and Downloading problems, the ability to understand the fingering and positions on the fretboard and the clarity of the video.

You can also find it within the Tab Page itself:

Wow, WICKED COOL GUY! I'll have to get my camera set up & start doing some myself.

Depending on interest and size of file, I will work on a way to upload files.

The quality of the video looks good. Very easy to relate the tab to the actual fingering.

The shadow of the ceiling fan (I think that is what it is) is a little distracting.

Otherwise, top notch for this type of instructional venue.

Any suggestions on how to convert .mpg to flash video?

Do you have Flash MX? The authoring tool I mean, not just a Player. I think there are probably a few shareware format conversion tools floating around out there if you search.

I would like to see a video example of the intro to Big Railroad Blues. Just a kind request for it to be one of the next examples in the future. Thanks

Also, what are the chords for this one? Don't see a forum for this tune. What a great Dead Song. Is this one of their originals?

^^^^^^^^^^I don't believe it is an original considering the song is gone from the list of tunes that can be shown on the site. It's a damn shame too because I can't seem to find it when googling
