I basically have trouble agreeing with others on the playing this part, every time it comes up with a different group (then I get confused and play it wrong myself ).
Concerning the chords for "away" in this line:
"Made anymore, I might move away...."

Here's what RUKIND has, for this specific line:
F..........................................C....Am7....C7....Em
Made anymore, I might move away.

I've always played:
F.......................................F(2 beats)....C(2 beats)....Am(4 beats)....Em (3 beats, then walk up to G during beat 4)
Made anymore, I might move aw----Ay-1...........Ay-2.............Ay-3.........Ay-4

What's up with that C7???

I agree with that, Pete.

Regarding the C7....

I hear the C7's Bb as a leading tone which I use as a tool vs a hard chord persay.

Altering my chart (the quote of it will remain unchanged): 4 beats (not 2) on the C7 and initial "-ay". So that's 4 beats each on the C7, Am & Em.

2/4 time sig, agreed (in my count above I am counting the twos of 2/4), but If you are saying "ay-1" is a C7, and there are only 3 "ay's", I would have to disagree with that.

Thats where I mainly spend my Ti...ii...ime.

I could swing by this afternoon to block it out beat by beat and put it to rest if you want to.
I think the rukind tab for that line is probably messing alot of folks up.

I'm told i'm throwing in an extra chord, but this is what (i think) I'm hearing in all era's of this tune:

I listened to it a few times and really it sounds like Jerry just misfretted and played the half steps from C. This is a strange tune in that there are so many versions of it and they always seem to have a different lick at that point. At 3:37

Note: the C - Am7 - C7 chords change on the second beat of their 2/4 measure and the last measure for the Em chord is a 1/2 measure before it goes into the G riff.

That was an awesome vid of DNB. But again they shot pans out right during the F change. It is F though C7 Em for sure its just the placement that counts. Now im going to have to revisit this tune. Ive been thinking about it all day. Not to mention watched at least 5 vids and 3 or 4 shows with it! It goes to show I think someone mentioned this the other day, I (we) all get into patterns where we know the tune but I find the hardest thing overall is breaking old habits. Now with Cumberland, I have been playing this tune for many years and I think I have played it wrong the whole time!

Note: For anybody wondering, TS's notation uses the "chord name" as the "1", and the numbers in parenthesis as the continuation of the "count".
So for example "F(,2)" is the same as counting the beats as "1,2". In 2/4 time-sig we only count as high as 2 (count 1,2 on your fingers while tapping 4 beats with your foot).

We are basically seeing it eye to eye now (uhh... I'm not gonna touch the "(1.5)" thing, but I believe we hear it the same now).

fwiw, I don't hear a C7.

The (picking hand) playing of the F>C over "a-way---ay" is similar to the intro punches from Second That Emotion.
