I've been messing around with this song and am just wondering what sacales you use.

I think it should be (I'm listining to the Garcia Play's Dylan version)

D Bm (chords)> Amaj scale (x 2) >
B maj> A maj> B maj> G maj> D Bm (chords)> verse.

Does this make any sense?

Are you asking theory or application?

In theory an A major scale works well!

In application I often play the changes.

I play it differently, when it goes to Jack the cowboy, I stick with Bm to A, back to Bm, then turnaround on F#m- E- G- C- G and up to A,

Bw...something like this ..the chords might be a syllable or two off, I didn't play thru it, but that is the basic structure. Let me know if you need more. Good Luck, great song, Have you ever tried "Going going gone", another great one! For some reason, it looks good than I submit and the chords move, then I try to edit and they go to the right spot again,
