I am looking for a pair of jbl e120's to put into my 68 twin. Anyone have a pair willing to sell?

Whoah, the thought of that makes my back ache.
I won't part with mine but I suggest you try Craigs List.

Not precisely what you asked but for general informational purposes. Someone interested in tone and portability over vintage authenticity would do well to consider either Weber Neomags or Jensen Neos in lieu of JBLs (both are closest to my ear to D120s). Your back will thank you!

+1 to Weber NeoMags very similar to D120fs.

I've always found Ebay to be a good source for a selection of JBL Es, Ks, and Ds. Personally I've always found the Es to be more rugged, especially in high power applications, but I like the alnico sound of Ds and even Ks better.

e120's are hard to find!

Do any of you know how easy it is to recone or generally just refurbish these too good condition?
Is it a pain in the ass? Most of the e120's ive ocme across need to be reconed.
If I can solder should I be able to do it relatively easy?
is there anythign to look for to tell me that the speaker is just beat and can't be repaired?

SHould I just go with the jensens or webers?

O.K. Their speakers but which is the JBL E120?
The big speaker stack or the small black box which says "Grateful Dead"?

Thanks.

the bigger speakers. It says right there the big 3X12 cabinet is loaded with JBL E120's. Whats a good replacement for a Hot Rod Deluxe? Is there something similar to a JBL E120 for 10"?

hey blob I have a hot rod deluxe and it is a 12" speaker. I thought all Hot rod deluxes were 1x12 combo amps.
